Ladder Checks

Feet Condition: Are the ladder feet in good condition, non-slip, and free from wear or damage?

Rungs Secure: Are all rungs securely attached and free from bends, cracks, or damage?

Stiles Free from Damage: Are the stiles (side rails) free from cracks, splits, dents, or corrosion?

Locks/Hinges Working: For extension or combination ladders, are all locks, hinges, and spreader bars operating correctly and securely?

Cleanliness: Is the ladder free from dirt, grease, paint, or other slippery substances?

Labels/Markings: Are all safety labels and load ratings legible and present?

PPE Checks

Hard Hat: Is it free from cracks, dents, or damage? Is the harness secure?

Safety Glasses/Goggles: Are lenses clear, free from scratches, and frames undamaged?

High-Visibility Vest/Clothing: Is it clean, reflective, and free from tears or damage?

Safety Boots/Footwear: Are soles, toecaps, and uppers in good condition? Good grip?

Gloves: Are they appropriate for the task and free from tears, holes, or excessive wear?

Hearing Protection (Ear Plugs/Muffs): Are they clean, undamaged, and provide a good seal?

Safety Harness/Lanyard (if applicable): Is it free from cuts, fraying, heat damage, or deployed indicators? (Visual check only)

Respirator/Mask (if applicable): Is it clean, undamaged, and seals correctly? Filters checked?
